New Dawn

The New Dawn Tribal Youth Council is the officially chartered youth tribal government under the Tribal Council of the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Tribal Nation.

Under the authority of the tribal government, the youth council elects its own officers from among the members of its organization, which is made up of tribal citizens between the age of 13-18 (with those who participate for at least two years prior to their 18th birthday being able to continue to participate until they are 21).  The elected officers of New Dawn must be enrolled tribal citizens.

The New Dawn Tribal Youth Council is authorized to send a youth liaison to the Tribal Council for its open meetings.

An adult supervisor is appointed by the tribal council from among the tribal citizenry to oversee and guide the activities of the youth council.
