Chief Gould and King Gustaf

A delegation of our Confederated tribes was on hand as “VIP’s” as the king and queen of Sweden arrived at Fort Christina Wilmington, Delaware, on May 11.  Chief Gould, Chief Coker, and five of our tribal princesses were the first to greet the Royals as they disembarked from the historic ship, the Kalamar Nyckol. At the request of the event organizers, tribal drummers provided the initial music during the ceremony, to the delight of the Swedish King. Both chiefs attended a gala banquet for dignitaries following the ceremony.
